Tomorrow is the last day of school around here (yay!) and we've had a great year all around. Three kids, three sets of super-amazing teachers. We couldn't possibly say it more simply. They've outdone themselves.

All of a sudden, I'm swamped. And it's pouring outside. I wanted to draw yesterday's chicken with its head in the sand, but I've decided on this little placeholder instead. Let's pretend it's acting like summer outside, I have time to do all the things on my List and someone's already figured out what to cook for dinner tonight.

Chicken Legs.

Ever been in a spot where you and your chicken legs aren't sure whether the flood's rising or receding? It's a glass-half-full-or-glass-empty kind of feeling, only you get a bit wetter.

School's almost out and my kids are counting the sleeps til flip flops are their everyday shoes. The sleeping bags and marshmallows are waiting ...

I'm thinking about the quilt I'm going to make with all of the cool fabric I have. And about the guy who thinks it's OK that I get to draw all day while he does the hard work.

These two are Newman and Ralph. They are our old cats. Newman is quiet and affectionate. Let's just say that Ralph has made the most of a lifetime of eating.

My little guy is taking a day off from flying and saving the world to have his kindergarten graduation photos taken. He shaved.
